Manage your Business Profile on Google with the Gemini web app

You can now quickly manage your Business Profile on Google conversationally and access your business insights in the Gemini web app. When you connect Google Business Profile with Gemini Apps, Gemini can help you:

  • Update your Business Profile, such as your business hours, contact info, and action links.
  • Engage with customers by drafting replies to reviews and creating posts.
  • Analyze and summarize customer feedback from reviews, including synthesizing feedback themes.
  • Access your business insights, including performance metrics and search keywords.

Important: Google Business Profile and business notebooks in Gemini are being released gradually and may not be available to you just yet.

  • Available wherever the Gemini web app is supported except the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.
  • Only available in Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish.
  • Not available to owners or managers who have access to more than one verified Business Profile.
  • Only available in the Gemini web app at gemini.google.com.

Connect Google Business Profile to Gemini Apps

When you connect Google Business Profile to Gemini Apps, you can ask Gemini questions about your Business Profile or ask it to perform actions for you, like updating your business hours.

  1. Go to gemini.google.com.
  2. Make sure you’re signed in to the same account you use to access your Business Profile on Google.
  3. Ask Gemini for information about your Business Profile on Google.
    • Tip: If Gemini doesn’t use the Google Business Profile app, add @Google Business Profile to your prompt.
  4. If Google Business Profile isn’t connected, you’ll get the option to connect it.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Tip: You can connect and disconnect the Google Business Profile app at any time in your Connected Apps Settings.

Create your business notebook

You can create a business notebook to unlock proactive insights and tailored prompts that help you manage and grow your business with Gemini.

  1. Go to gemini.google.com.
  2. Make sure you’re signed in to the same account you use to access your Business Profile on Google.
  3. If you’re eligible, you’ll get an option to create your business notebook. Select Connect.
    • Google Business Profile must be connected to Gemini Apps to create your business notebook. If it’s not, you’ll get the option to connect it.
    • Tip: If the option to create your business notebook isn’t there, try adding @Google Business Profile to a prompt to have Gemini offer to create it.
  4. Enter or confirm the website URL for your business.

Check your business notebook

  1. On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
  2. On the sidebar under “Notebooks,” click your business notebook. It has the same name as your business in Google Business Profile.
    • If the sidebar is closed, hover over Gemini and click Open sidebar .

Your business notebook includes additional features, like:

  • Proactive insights about your business, including suggested actions like:
    • Updating missing Business Profile info, like business hours or a description.
    • Adding photos, like an exterior photo of your business.
    • Reviewing your Business Profile’s performance.
  • Suggested prompts to explore ways Gemini can help you with your business.
  • Recent chats in your business notebook.

Update your Business Profile

You can ask Gemini to update your business information to keep your customers informed. Gemini can help you manage:

  • Business hours: Modify regular weekly schedules or set special hours for holidays and events.
  • Food menus: For food-related businesses, create, update, or delete menus, including sections, dish names, descriptions, and prices.
  • Media: Upload new photos using a public URL, or get media that you or customers uploaded.
  • Business attributes: Review and modify details like "Outdoor Seating," "Happy Hour," or "Wi-Fi." These options vary by business category.
  • Contact information: Review and modify your website URL or social media links.
  • Action links: Manage links for online ordering, reservations, or appointments.
  • Location details: Get and review the internal technical data and the status of your profile.
