1·1 day agoHave you tried OpenLogi? I’m not sure if it supports that model specifically, but it supports a lot.

1·2 days agoWhile logically consistent, that’s not exactly the most practical way for Ukraine to survive the war.
Ahhh, that explains so much, like why I was seeing it everywhere. I thought that was the part people thought was funny. I’ve never used it, so I didn’t know how it works. Thanks!

Linux@lemmy.ml•Arch Linux AUR Under Another Wave Of Malicious Packages, Package Adoptions HaltedEnglish
1·2 days agoIsn’t this similar to the reason a lot of people hate snaps? Or am I misunderstanding something? I’m not an Arch user (btw) so I’m not super familiar with AUR.
I don’t understand why people find someone asking “is this still available?” hilarious.
I’ll give that a try, but I’m not expecting it to work. All the other solutions have cause the feed to “rubber band” around randomly as I scroll when the shorts are dynamically removed from the feed.

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•The reason is simple. It's because fuck you.English
3·2 days agoThat’s an option, but it’s got a pretty expensive penalty if you get caught. It’s a lot of risk for a song / movie / game. By all means, do your thing, but you gotta be prepared for what could happen.

memes@lemmy.world•Not trying to rip the efforts of AI developers apart or anything, buuuuuut…English
8·2 days agoThey key thing to know is that they don’t actually remember anything. They are completely stateless. Every question, every reply, every interaction needs to have the entirety of the conversation history fed back in to it. That’s actually what the “context” is. It would be like talking to a person, and every time you spoke you had to repeat everything you’ve ever said to them (and what they said to you!) before you could say something new. It’s insanely inefficient and why they require data centers the size of a small city. “Agents” are even worse, because they talk to themselves and each other in loops, but still have to repeat that context for every single interaction.

Programmer Humor@lemmy.ml•Anthropic was having FOMO with OpenAI getting all the attention so they let Claude out to playEnglish
17·2 days agoAll these “it escaped the lab” stories are just starting to sound like advertising now. “Ohh our AI is soooooooo good that it can figure out how to escape a lab and break in to a competitor. You should use it because it’s sooooo good!”
I just want to turn off shorts completely. I know there are extensions that kind of do it, but they all cause problems for me while browsing videos.
