The output is ISO + CUE + LOG, where unreadable LBAs are recorded. According to the manual, LOG can be used repeatedly to dump the same CD to increase the speed of the process.
The output is ISO + CUE.
I'm testing this at home, and I think it works for the most part. There may be some hardware-related issues, such as: 1) The first computer had two IDE and SATA controllers; the program only detected the drive connected to the IDE controller. Perhaps it can't manage more than one controller and treats the first one it finds as the primary. 2) On my computer, one drive is connected via an IDE-to-SATA adapter, the program found it but didn’t assign it a number after the SPTI (e.g., 2:0:0 SPTI 2) and...

Hi, I'm not at home right now and I don't have the Asghan CD with me. But I tried it on another computer running Windows 7 with a regular, unprotected CD, and it seems to work. Before I shout "HOORAY," I'll try it at home first. In any case, it looks good—THANK YOU SO MUCH! Update: Hmm, it works for me with an IDE drive, but not with a SATA drive. But I'm not done yet—I'll run some more tests when I get home and let you know.

do you have a first test case in mind? Could you explain that a bit more? I'm not exactly sure what you mean. I don't have a game that requires ASPI, I was referring to the dump program I sent you...
It’s important to realize that Adaptec’s ASPI was the primary communication interface for CD and DVD drives until the arrival of Windows 2000, when Microsoft introduced its own "hack" called SPTI. So it wasn’t just a matter of SCSI devices. But ASPI still worked and was also used in Windows XP. If you wanted to use a good burning program, you needed ASPI. ASPI drivers ceased to be compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit (I believe). There are some alternative libraries that do not require ASPI32.SYS....
