About Sentry

Sentry is an application monitoring and observability platform that helps developers identify, diagnose, and resolve software issues across web, mobile, backend, and AI-powered applications. Designed with a developer-first approach, the platform combines error monitoring, performance tracing, logs, session replay, profiling, metrics, and uptime monitoring into a unified environment connected by a single trace. Sentry enables engineering teams to quickly move from issue detection to root cause analysis and remediation, providing deep visibility into application behavior and user experiences. Its AI-powered debugging capabilities help developers identify underlying causes, generate fixes, and prevent regressions before code reaches production.

"The Best Error Tracking Tool" Posted 2025-08-02

Pros: The best feature of Sentry that has helped us immensely is the source maps. Whenever a crash occurs, it takes a snapshot of the file and the block of code that caused it. This saves a lot of time when fixing bugs. Another great feature is that Sentry organizes all the bugs, which can then be assigned to individual developers and tracked later. All in all, Sentry is the best bug/crash tracking application I’ve used so far.

Cons: The initial setup can be quite hectic, especially if it's not done using the wizard, and even more so when dealing with multiple environments in the application.

Overall: Overall Sentry is the best tool for error tracking and the cherry on top is that is very economical, also for small teams/companies.
