It’s an international term that usually indicates a software that is also capable of acquiring measurements from a drawing saved in one of the many electronic formats (DWG, DXF) or a raster image (previously vectorized). PriMus TAKEOFF allows the quantity surveyor to save the drawing information and the relating cost estimate data in the DWG file by creating unity between the two document types that other software procedures do not support.
