This app is more like an enticement and entrapment to make you pay unwillingly.

Cons: It will entice you with very low trial price. Then it will charge to your card USD49.99 per month without your full knowledge. You can't delete your card details from the pdf guru account. You will have to do it from your bank app.

The trial period is a very short 7 days and will start charging to your card the second it crosses 7 days.

This is more like a scam site masquerading as a legitimate site.

DON'T USE IT!

Not worth trying it out. Nothing special but when you try to cancel the subscription, hell of a trouble.

Pros: Professional appearance of document but took a lot of tries to have it downloaded professionally and then I had to print & scan it to be able to email it.

Cons: Hidden charges. Do not make it clear when you buy the single download that you start a subscription in 7 days and won't refund, even the 1st day of being charged.

Overall: Charged for a one time document download & then 7 days later charged $49.99 for a months subscription I did not opt for. Immediately contacted PDF Guru & they refused to refund. This was not made clear during download. Finally found the disclaimer at the bottom of the email invoice. Horrible customer service!! Refuse to refund 1 day into this subscription I did not opt for and keep sending me the same canned email response 8 times.

Cons: I used PDF Guru to convert a locked PDF file into a Word Document as I needed to copy and paste so I could respond to a numerous points. I thought I was just purchasing a one of transaction, but yesterday I was billed with an annual or monthly charge!

Overall: I tried to explain my situation but got a generic AI response. As a 73 year old pensioner with limited technology experience I was very disappointed! Do not trust these people!!

Cons: A scam, exorbitant charge for monthly. It’s auto recharge. Asking for a refund but they offered me a 2 year free use of the service, that’s because they know they charge above and beyond for a month!

Overall: Terrible refund policy, no longer responds to my emails. Everyone has to be very careful of how they are that using this app and what exactly they are buying.

Pros: I haven't had time to appreciate any, I tried one simple thing (see description in the Cons) and it failed.

Cons: After I downloaded my document in PDF, the font I chose when I edited the document was inexplicably not preserved, although I used only standard fonts and tried multiple times to fix it.
Then when I tried downloading it in Word format, it misinterpreted many letters, symbols, and spaces.
Last but not least, you won't receive any emails notifying you that the 7-day free trial is ending and that you are going to be charged.

Overall: I am compelled to speak out about this matter regarding this company’s billing practices. There have been multiple reports, including discussions on Reddit, from individuals who claim they were charged unexpectedly without prior notification.

In my case, funds were deducted from my account without any warning. However, when requesting a refund, the company quickly referred to its policies. This raises a critical concern: why are these policies not applied when it comes to notifying customers before deductions are made?

They renewed my subscription for $50 without sending any prior notification - no email, no reminder, nothing. By the time I noticed the charge, it was too late to cancel. The service was not used during the entire billing period.
When I contacted support and politely requested a refund as a goodwill gesture, they hid behind their terms of service and refused. Apparently, silently charging customers is perfectly fine in their book.
This is not how legitimate businesses operate. This is predatory billing designed to catch you off guard. They count on you not noticing.
I have initiated a chargeback through my payment provider. I am also reporting this practice to consumer protection authorities.

Pros: I purchased a one off limited 7 day access for 0.99 usd. I only required the product for the one time hence why i purchased the lowest possible. Mind you it advertised as FREE conversion but obviously that is just one of many loop holes this company has found. A week late i was charged a further 49.99 usd for nothing. PDF Guru refused to refund so I have had to now escalate this with my bank in the hopes of getting my $73 aud back. They refused a refund but offered me 2 years FREE access? WTF? Do not use this company.
