    proFILE is an innovative and very essential set of tools for files and folders for MS-Windows, and is created by Sanjiv Dutta, India during 2007-2008

proFILE bundles the following utilities:-

    *   Measure (and Analyse) Names
    *   Mass-Rename
    *   Maxplorer
    *   Check Duplicates
    *   Compare
    *   Check CD/DVD (and Recover files) 

I have used Installer Vise to make the installer. The configuration file is "proFILE Vise.VCT" and is among the source files.

Performance Limitation Issue:

This is actually my 2nd VB project, and I started it in a time when no one practically use VB. So I didn't want to seriously devote time for it also. As a result, it lacks some sophistication.

For instance -
    * Windows Messaging is not intercepted anywhere. This means that, a file-list, folder-list or drive-list would display all static contents, and won't get dynamically updated to reflect the actual status of the files & folders.

    * The Maxplorer is quite slow in reading the directory.

    * Threading is not used explicitly anywhere in the code.

    * The folder-list & file-list in Maxplorer could not be resized by dragging the divider bar between them. Same thing applies to the File & Folders Selection Dialog Box also.

So I have submitted this as a source forge project rather to seek technical help/ collaboration from VB enthusiasts from around the glob!
