    AlphaZero.jl

    AlphaZero.jl

A generic, simple and fast implementation of Deepmind's AlphaZero

Beyond its much publicized success in attaining superhuman level at games such as Chess and Go, DeepMind's AlphaZero algorithm illustrates a more general methodology of combining learning and search to explore large combinatorial spaces effectively. We believe that this methodology can have exciting applications in many different research areas. Because AlphaZero is resource-hungry, successful open-source implementations (such as Leela Zero) are written in low-level languages (such as C++) and optimized for highly distributed computing environments. This makes them hardly accessible for students, researchers and hackers. Many simple Python implementations can be found on Github, but none of them is able to beat a reasonable baseline on games such as Othello or Connect Four. As an illustration, the benchmark in the README of the most popular of them only features a random baseline, along with a greedy baseline that does not appear to be significantly stronger.

    Gridap.jl

    Gridap.jl

Grid-based approximation of partial differential equations in Julia

Gridap provides a set of tools for the grid-based approximation of partial differential equations (PDEs) written in the Julia programming language. The library currently supports linear and nonlinear PDE systems for scalar and vector fields, single and multi-field problems, conforming and nonconforming finite element (FE) discretizations, on structured and unstructured meshes of simplices and n-cubes. It also provides methods for time integration. Gridap is extensible and modular. One can implement new FE spaces, new reference elements, use external mesh generators, linear solvers, post-processing tools, etc. See, e.g., the list of available Gridap plugins.

    AppleAccelerate.jl

    AppleAccelerate.jl

Julia interface to the macOS Accelerate framework

Julia interface to the macOS Accelerate framework. This provides a Julia interface to some of the macOS Accelerate frameworks. At the moment, this package provides access to Accelerate BLAS and LAPACK using the libblastrampoline framework, an interface to the array-oriented functions, which provide a vectorized form for many common mathematical functions. The performance is significantly better than using standard libm functions in some cases, though there does appear to be some reduced accuracy.

    Automa.jl

    Automa.jl

A julia code generator for regular expressions

Automa is a regex-to-Julia compiler. By compiling regex to Julia code in the form of Expr objects, Automa provides facilities to create efficient and robust regex-based lexers, tokenizers and parsers using Julia's metaprogramming capabilities. You can view Automa as a regex engine that can insert arbitrary Julia code into its input-matching process, which will be executed when certain parts of the regex match an input.

    Catalyst.jl

    Catalyst.jl

Chemical reaction network and systems biology interface

Catalyst.jl is a symbolic modeling package for analysis and high-performance simulation of chemical reaction networks. Catalyst defines symbolic ReactionSystems, which can be created programmatically or easily specified using Catalyst's domain-specific language (DSL). Leveraging ModelingToolkit and Symbolics.jl, Catalyst enables large-scale simulations through auto-vectorization and parallelism. Symbolic ReactionSystems can be used to generate ModelingToolkit-based models, allowing the easy simulation and parameter estimation of mass action ODE models, Chemical Langevin SDE models, stochastic chemical kinetics jump process models, and more. Generated models can be used with solvers throughout the broader SciML ecosystem, including higher-level SciML packages (e.g. for sensitivity analysis, parameter estimation, machine learning applications, etc).

    ComponentArrays.jl

    ComponentArrays.jl

Arrays with arbitrarily nested named components

The main export of this package is the ComponentArray type. "Components" of ComponentArrays are really just array blocks that can be accessed through a named index. This will create a new ComponentArray whose data is a view into the original, allowing for standalone models to be composed together by simple function composition. In essence, ComponentArrays allow you to do the things you would usually need a modeling language for, but without actually needing a modeling language. The main targets are for use in DifferentialEquations.jl and Optim.jl, but anything that requires flat vectors is fair game.

    IntervalArithmetic.jl

    IntervalArithmetic.jl

Library for validated numerics using interval arithmetic

IntervalArithmetic.jl is a Julia package for validated numerics in Julia. All calculations are carried out using interval arithmetic where quantities are treated as intervals. The final result is a rigorous enclosure of the true value. We are working towards having the IntervalArithmetic library be conformant with the IEEE 1788-2015 Standard for Interval Arithmetic. To do so, we have incorporated tests from the ITF1788 test suite.

    Rotations.jl

    Rotations.jl

Julia implementations for different rotation parameterizations

3D rotations made easy in Julia. This package implements various 3D rotation parameterizations and defines conversions between them. At their heart, each rotation parameterization is a 3×3 unitary (orthogonal) matrix (based on the StaticArrays.jl package), and acts to rotate a 3-vector about the origin through matrix-vector multiplication. While the RotMatrix type is a dense representation of a 3×3 matrix, we also have sparse (or computed, rather) representations such as quaternions, angle-axis parameterizations, and Euler angles. All rotation types support one(R) to construct the identity rotation for the desired parameterization.
