    Promises

    Promises

Promises is a modern framework that provides synchronization

Promises is a modern framework that provides a synchronization construct for Objective-C and Swift to facilitate writing asynchronous code. Typically, async operations take a completion handler in a form of a block, which is called to provide either a result or an error. To perform more than one async operation, you have to nest the second one inside the completion block of the first one, and also handle an error gracefully. Often such nesting becomes painful to follow or modify. The framework has intuitive APIs that are well documented making it painless to integrate into new or existing code. Supports both Objective-C and Swift. Promises that are created in Objective-C can be used in Swift and vice versa. Has minimum overhead that achieves similar performance to GCD and completion handlers.

    Hub Framework

    Hub Framework

Spotify’s component-driven UI framework for iOS

The Hub Framework is being phased out at Spotify, and therefore we will not be maintaining it further. Welcome to the Hub Framework - a toolkit for building native, component-driven UIs on iOS. It is designed to enable teams of any size to quickly build, tweak and ship new UI features, in either new or existing apps. It also makes it easy to build backend-driven UIs. Instead of building UIViewControllers that each has hard-wired behaviors for UI in terms of controls, data binding & selection handling - a Hub Framework-powered UI is all about components. Components can be reused and rearranged in any way, and render any model. They each define a rectangle on the screen in which anything can be rendered, making it easy to quickly iterate on UI and create modular building blocks that reduce the need for code duplication.

    MJExtension

    MJExtension

A conversion framework between JSON and model

A fast, convenient and nonintrusive conversion framework between JSON and model. Dictionary-to-model framework with fast conversion speed and easy to use. A large number of unit tests have been carried out on various commonly used data scenarios. MJExtension is an ultra-lightweight framework that converts between dictionaries and models. Coding all properties of a model with only one line of code. Coding (archiving and unarchiving) of all attributes of the model can be achieved with just one line of code. @objcattributes should be added to class and property for declaration of Objc accessibility. After Swift4, please add attributes before @objcmodification. Swift to ensure properties can be exposed to ObjC used.

    Nimble

    Nimble

A Matcher Framework for Swift and Objective-C

Use Nimble to express the expected outcomes of Swift or Objective-C expressions. Inspired by Cedar. Apple's Xcode includes the XCTest framework, which provides assertion macros to test whether code behaves properly. XCTest assertions have a couple of drawbacks. Not enough macros. There's no easy way to assert that a string contains a particular substring, or that a number is less than or equal to another. It's hard to write asynchronous tests. XCTest forces you to write a lot of boilerplate code. Nimble addresses these concerns. Would you like to add more information to the test's failure messages? Use the description optional argument to add your own text. Nimble makes sure you don't compare two types that don't match. Tired of so much typing? With Nimble, you can use overloaded operators like == for equivalence, or > for comparisons.

    Pusher

    Pusher

OS X and iOS application and framework to play with APNs

Pusher is a Mac and iPhone app for sending push notifications directly to the Apple Push Notification Service (APNs). Testing push notifications for an iOS or Mac app normally requires setting up a server or creating an account online. And when these don’t work properly, it can be very difficult to find out why. With Pusher all you need is an SSL certificate and a device token, and you can start pushing directly from your Mac and even from your iPhone! Pusher provides detailed error reporting and logs, and many other tools. It’s got a small framework for both OS X and iOS, and is a good choice for better understanding how push notifications work and playing around with them.

    Chameleon

    Chameleon

Color framework for Swift and Objective-C

Chameleon is a lightweight, yet powerful, color framework for iOS (Objective-C & Swift). It is built on the idea that software applications should function effortlessly while simultaneously maintaining their beautiful interfaces. With Chameleon, you can easily stop tinkering with RGB values, wasting hours figuring out the right color combinations to use in your app, and worrying about whether your text will be readable on the various background colors of your app. With a plethora of color choices available for text, it's difficult to choose one that all users will appreciate and be able to read. Whether you're in doubt of your text and tint color choices, or afraid to let users customize their profile colors because it may disturb the legibility or usability of the app, you no longer have to worry. With Chameleon, you can ensure that all text stands out independent of the background color.

    ComponentKit

    ComponentKit

A React-inspired view framework for iOS

ComponentKit is an Objective-C++ view framework for iOS that is heavily inspired by React. ComponentKit uses a declarative API to define UI components. You simply describe the layout for your UI based on a set of immutable inputs and the framework takes care of the rest. With code generation, ComponentKit can perform optimizations for your UI under the hood, while keeping your code simple and easy to maintain. ComponentKit can measure and layout your UI ahead of time without blocking the UI thread. By decoupling its layout system from UIKit, ComponentKit can drop the UI thread constraint. ComponentKit uses Yoga for layout and automatically reduces the number of UIViews that your UI contains. This, in addition to ComponentKit's text optimizations, allows for much smaller view hierarchies and improves both memory and scroll performance. With ComponentKit, each UI item such as text, image, or video is recycled individually.
