Not really, instance defederation is still a manual process through Lemmy’s API. It’s useful for sharing info about instances and I have used it to defed from some instances (mostly CSAM). The main thing you need be guaranteed for is so you can be on lemmy-federate.com. Irrc, Piefed also NIH’ed their own ‘trusted instance’ thing.

Though this again raises the question of our status w.r.t to Lemmy.world being our sole Guarantor.

Seems to be a bug in Piefed’s linkify code for punycode. It’s transforming the the double hypen into an en dash.

The dev behind the Tesseract (a webapp for Lemmy) has a big list of users, communities and instances that Tesseract uses to filter things out.
