A coworker who just relocated here from the US has had her housing options fall through, she intends to buy a house ASAP but has to find somewhere to stay for now, and the rental company for the apartment she was going to take is not answering her. They are a professional couple with one cat, both of the houses they tried to buy ended up failing inspection so now she’s in a bit of a bind. Can anyone give advice?

For a cheap option, look for sublets. Might not be ideal living conditions, and might be sharing spaces with others, but for Jul/Aug I think many students especially are looking for people to occupy their place while they are out for summer break.

Not sure if monthly rate hotels will allow for pets. The cat is definitely the hardest thing to figure out to relocate well, since worst case you can stuff things in a self-storage unit until you can move in.
