My comment clearly (but apparently not clearly enough) referenced the fact that American producers are dealing with the add on effect that the Canadian boycott is having. I read the article, you failed to read my comment.

You may not think it’s related, but math and the bottom lines of American producers would disagree.

I’m sure the fact the Canadians have stopped buying American products costing producers $500+ million per year hasn’t been so good for them either.

It’s not just the Republicans, the MSM has endlessly repeated their claims for years despite evidence to the contrary.

I had a right-wing acquaintance who claimed that only Republicans bring the deficit down. When presented with factual evidence that Republicans consistently increase the deficit and Democrats decrease it he came up with an absurd explanation: Republicans increase the deficit because they’re fixing the things previous Democrats broke. He insisted that was even the case with 2 term Republicans and no direct, statistical evidence could change his mind.

Unfortunately these people vote.

It’ll work out fine. If all else fails, corporate welfare and taxpayers will bail them out.

Here’s a partial list:

• USB won’t function at all with some computers because “It’s too advanced”. Google says to use another computer.
• Bluetooth regularly refuses to automatically connect to either of my cars. The phone needs to be restarted to get it to work.
• Audio apps are killed to “save battery” when playing a long audio file even when phone is charging, no matter the app settings.
• Bluetooth volume control intermittently stops working and becomes an on/off switch, either full volume or silent. Recommended fix? Reset Bluetooth and wifi, deleting all devices and networks and starting again. The fix is a temporary solution only and after reconnecting and redefining everything you’ll have to do it again.
• Phone ignores DND settings and alerts in the middle of the night inviting me to try new features or warning that “Crash detection won’t work with Location Off”.
• A recent firmware update cut battery life by 30%.
• When music apps like Poweramp and VLC are in use, phone alarms and timers break the audio output stream and do not release it. The apps must be killed and restarted to work again.
• When selecting an icon anywhere on the screen the slightest movement will pull the notification panel down instead of opening the app.

My OnePlus 9Pro had none of these problems, They’re Pixel exclusives. This is the 1st phone that has made me wish I had bought an Iphone.

Last year we hosted a holiday dinner and included a neighborhood couple we had never met. Within minutes it became apparent we had invited a Magat POS. He actually exceeded expectations, bringing up Trump time and again and ignoring the fact we kept changing the subject. It took one of us openly ridiculing Trump to get him to finally shut the fuck up. It was only because we didn’t want to make other people there uncomfortable that he wasn’t out the door on his ass.

His wife (not Maga) has since approached us asking to get together and we’ve politely declined. No need to tell her we’d rather have triple servings of Taco Bell lettuce during a root canal than to ever spend a minute in her husband’s miserable presence again.
