Wow, he looks pretty good for 85 and all the shit he’s been through. Compare that face to all the other >=75 year-olds in DC politics.

“Or maybe that’s just hopium.”
Pure unadulturated hopium.

And just what is “exactly what they want”? No one seems to know. How would calling or not calling a special election affect the Republican’s agenda? There’s no way a Democrat would be elected. So how is it to Repub’s advantage to hide his condition until Aug 3?
What’s supposed to be represented in the upper right panel?

OK I think I get how to read this, once I understood the concept. Very nice work.
Maybe it would be a little clearer if the lines where boxes overlap were just slightly offset – it would help see and distinguish them. For example if the blue box was moved down by just a little more than the width of the red lines, instead of being directly on top of them. If that makes sense.

So? That’s got nothing to do with it. Red states commonly switch parties on governors but not senators. I’m in Kansas, which also has a Democratic governor. But it hasn’t had a Democratic senator since 1939. Cook Political Report rates the KY senate race as Solid R.
But others have mentioned the possibility that they’re afraid Massie could win, which does sound like a more likely possibility.

Hmm, now that’s an intriguing explanation.

Yes, definitely.

It seems to me from the Democrats’ point of view, that NOT having a special election is better for them, since right now, McConnell can’t vote so Repubs are down a senator and they have less chance of passing partisan legislation without him. The sooner there’s a special election, the sooner Repubs have another vote back for their side (in a special election he would definitely be replaced by a repub).
If the governor (a Dem) could appoint someone (he can’t according to a KY law), then I see how it would make sense for repubs to keep the illusion going that McConnell will return. But as it stands, I don’t see why covering up his condition is doing repubs any good, in terms of the magic Aug. 3rd date or a special election.
So my biggest concern is the possibility that McConnell really is going to recover and return to the Senate. That would be a damn shame. But he’s retiring after this the term anyway, so I dunno-- maybe all this cover-up is just so they can say he finished out his term.

Several reasons. One, they’re sticking a metal thing in there, and that can be painful, especially if they don’t use enough lube. I remind them to use a lot. :) Two, you may be having a lot of anxiety and tightening up all your muscles (I know I do!) so that makes it harder for them to insert the thing–hence, they tell you to take breaths and try to relax. Also, I always try to go to a woman gynecologist. I’m more comfortable with someone who knows what it’s like and they’re usually much nicer, so that helps.

i.e., “Is it possible for someone not to follow or give a shit about sports?” Why yes. Yes it is.

He certainly checks the AntiChrist boxes, including how he’s fooled all the “christians” to believe he was sent by God. I don’t know if he’s specifically denied God but he did say he didn’t need to ask God for forgiveness because he hasn’t made any mistakes.

Re the 4 horsemen with Hegseth as War and Little Bobby Brainworm as Pestilence:
Musk is Famine, he shut down US Aid and millions have died and will die as a result. Not all from hunger and malnutrition, but disease as well (HIV, TB, malaria, etc). But little
I’d put Dump as Death since everything he and the other 3 horses do leads to death. He started the Wars, DOGE cuts, Huge Hideous Bill leading to loss of SNAP and healthcare, his ICE Gestapo and their concentration camps killing people, appointed THREE SCOTUS whose rulings have led to death (loss of reproductive care and deaths of many women) and giving him immunity to do all those things. etc etc etc and he even looks like Death itself.

Harder and harder to say “Vote Blue No Matter Who” with that boot up your throat.
Obviously we’re way past “Vote Blue no matter who” now. That effort was the last ditch attempt to stop fascists from taking power. If it had worked, it might have been possible to enact safeguards to protect the democratic institutions of the Constitution. Or might not, as it was probably already too late. But it was the last chance we had to prevent the fascist regime and try to salvage anything.
Obviously it failed, and fascists/grifters/looters/christian nationalists/oligarchs now have complete control of the government. They’ll do anything to hold onto that power. We’ll know for sure in November, but working within the democratic election system to change who’s in power is basically futile at this point.
So yeah, it’s nice to see that people have finally started supporting progressive candidates in many states and a lot of them are winning their primaries–but sadly it’s too late for that now. It’s what needed to have been done well before now, starting during Dump 1.0 at the latest, which was the final wake up call. But not enough people gave a shit until it was too late, and most still don’t.

Then why do they call it rogue
Marketing.

This fucking piece of slimy stinking shit, will it ever die? 😩

The AI food on the poster looks absolutely horrifying, especially that “slaw” and “pulled pork”. Why would anyone think people would find that appetizing or draw anyone inside? Even if it didn’t look fake like plastic toy food, people want to see photos of the actual food you are selling, not a bizarre “concept” of the food. Huge mistake but the fact that they still don’t understand why people reacted negatively is not a good sign for their business.
They were the crazies even before the maga crazies.
