The “villian” disappointed me in this movie. I’m excited for Xmen content but why a Spiderman movie to do that? MCU spidey has been such a let down in his standalone movie. He’s great in other mcu movies. But always over shadowed in his own movies. I wish MCU gave more creative control to the Creators. Who are we kidding, they just cancelled Blade.

Sorry for the vent. It is what it is atp.

Just keep throwing Jean Grey at the wall, maybe it’ll stick this time

I don’t think “throwing at the wall” is an accurate representation of what her character is doing in the film. Plus Famke Janssen was a pretty solid Jean Grey. The third X-Men film was rough, I’ll give you that. And if you wanted to call Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey throwing the Phoenix Saga at the wall, that might fit, but at the moment this is rebooting a character with a clean start.

If it all ends up being wasted, sure, but at the moment it’s a strong start to a new story.

I think that the ‘original’ trilogy threw her at the wall too, no? I remember X-Men 3 being pretty uh… disappointing.
