Republicans these days

For conservatives and their party, it’s been like this ever since I can remember.

With the Internet, no Fairness Doctrine, and people like Donvict at the helm of their party, it’s just far more obvious now.

Peter Navarro should shut up and be happy he’s not rotting in prison.

I’d be curious how such an index would even use such a criteria, by the way. Because it seems so many companies are involved with it in some way.

They won’t. I imagine the most that would happen to them is that they maybe have to step down, and pull the golden parachute. Almost nothing ever happens to them. Maybe they aren’t in headlines, or lionized by the business press any more, but they’ll be just fiiiiiine with all their millions, possibly billions.

Not enough people even know or will be impacted when they go.

Until and unless Donvict, Stephen Miller, and other traitors and terrorists are dragged into prison kicking and screaming, they have not lost enough.

For every Tuck Buckford, there are a zillion others, all clawing to be the next top grifter. I used to dip into some of their podcasts to monitor the crazy and it’s really quite wild. Most of them all seem to hate each other and the constant alliances and later schisms was rather funny to take in.

Most of them seem to think others are CIA plants running “psyops”.

Anyway, here are some of the characters I remember that had books and podcasts, etc. - some of them have died since - Alan Watt, Jan Irvin, the guy that ran Red Ice (used to be kooky conspiracy thing, now openly white supremacist, I guess? I don’t remember that being so apparent in the mid-00s or whenever I last sampled some podcasts), David Icke, Jim Marrs, Jordan Maxwell, Bill Cooper….

So hilarious that these smoothbrains spent the 90s thinking that the likes of Janet Reno were coming for their gerns and ammo and bunkers and MREs, along with the likes of Bill Clinton (and later, Obama and Hillary). I mean, I LTFOL at that…

Then they get all onboard with the trump train and then get pikachu face when it turns out that….THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE YOUR OWN HOUSE when it comes to problematic leaders looking to fundamentally change America.

Not any more likely to happen this time around than it did in 2009.

It’s going to harm the most vulnerable the most. All the people running this scam will be just fine.

He’s a con man and always has been.

But the conservatives just love to punch themselves square in the balls to own the libs, because they rely on the fact that everyone else will suffer, too, and they hope that libs suffer more.

Then how is it that I was seeing headlines today about how inflation has softened, been “tamed”, etc.? Is that just based on the Fed not raising rates (even though they probably should)?

I’ve worked with/for assholes like this before. The same types who whine about people being “political” if it goes even slightly against some conservative thing. They view it as being “neutral” to just uphold conservative things - it’s only “political” if it even has a whiff of not being pro-Republican/conservative…

I’ve even heard managers that have policed conversations at work as being “too political” later saying they were going to vote for Trump because he’s “pro-business” or whatever the fuck. Yeah, like saying you are going to vote Republican is not political, JFC.

The same dipshits that think Pedolf Shitler is a Bigly Good At Bidness Guy, and think him cheating on his taxes is a good thing, also think he’s just great at making money because he’s their favorite con man and they have no clue that he’s conning them, too. They probably all cheer when they hear how much the Rapist-in-Chief made, in many cases, directly taking money from his supporters.

I think the wedge issue they will keep hammering on is trans. Probably why Pedolf Shitler went on about the Bud Light thing from 3 years ago and why he blathers on with complete nonsense like “trans for everyone” or whatever.

But maybe making other people’s lives worse is enough.

That is the mantra of conservatives and their party: the Republican Party.

And if the AI bubble doesn’t pop in next two years

I’m not sure which is going to be worse - the AI bubble not popping, or the AI bubble popping.

I say that as someone who watched the dot-com bubble with a lot of apprehension from within IT. I was not even tied to dot-com work, but the job market sucked balls when everything melted down.

I’m sure a lot of people imagine it will be the obnoxious techbro C-suite types that will be made to suffer and have to get real jobs and actually work a day in their lives when it implodes.

I have no such illusions.
