1. Using R.NF

By accessing or using R.NF, you agree to follow these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please don’t use the site.

Our goal is to create a free and respectful space for decentralized discussion. To do that, we need a few rules - nothing too scary, but important nonetheless.

2. What You Can Post

  • You own the content you post.
  • But by posting on R.NF, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and federate your content across the Fediverse.
  • Please don’t post anything illegal or harmful:
    • Hate speech, violent threats, doxxing, or discrimination
    • NSFW content without proper tagging
    • Spam, scams, or malware
    • Content that violates EU or Dutch law

We reserve the right to remove any content without notice if it violates our policies or receives a legitimate report. No copies are retained after removal.

3. AI and Bots

We allow AI-assisted content, but only for the purpose of meaningful human communication - like translation or summarization.

  • Fully automated or bot-generated posts are not allowed
  • Bots that mass-post, scrape, or act without user consent will be banned

4. Be Cool, Be Kind

You agree not to:

  • Harass or impersonate others
  • Abuse the reporting system
  • Exploit vulnerabilities or attempt unauthorized access

We want everyone to feel welcome here - so treat people like you’d want to be treated.

5. Account Suspension

We may suspend or restrict your access at any time if you violate these terms or disrupt the platform.

We are not required to provide prior notice for account removals related to legal or moderation concerns.

6. Privacy & GDPR

We care about your privacy and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). That means:

  • Your personal data is only used for operating the service (e.g., login, moderation)
  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time
  • We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties
  • All servers are hosted in the EU (Netherlands)

We’re not responsible for:

These terms are governed by the laws of:

  • Estonia (primary jurisdiction)
  • The European Union
  • The Netherlands (data hosting jurisdiction)
