Oh they don’t mean “get a job based on your experience and qualifications”, they mean “take a job left vacant by migrant workers (that were deported) for slave wages”.
Like asshole Cuomo kept saying, “Become an essential worker, do it tomorrow” during pandemic lockdowns when people couldn’t work.

AI agents don’t care about safety or reliability because they can’t care. About anything. Because they don’t have emotions. They are auto-complete on steroids. The sooner people stop amorphousizing these computer systems, the better off humanity will be.

They went from “AI will be your slave robot doing menial work” to “AI will take ALL the jobs, so you’ll have to do whatever it can’t (yet)” within like 3 years. That’s shorter than a typical 4-year college degree. That means kids who went to get degrees are now neck-deep in debt with bleek outlook on their careers. And these speakers want applause? Booing is actually the best outcome.
“AI boom”? More like AI bubble go “boom!”

5·3 months agoGenerally, companies that have AI integrated to this extent have no engineers remaining who could have made such things impossible.
It starts with automating backups that nobody verifies for years, then continues to off-shoring all development to the cheapest contractors that nobody actively manages, handing over all “keys to the kingdom” to cloud providers, culminating with elimination of 80% of infrastructure and engineering staff in a mad dash to cut costs at any cost. At that point giving AI agents full access is just icing on the cake.

Here’s the thing. Every LLM “answer” is a hallucination, just some happen to be closer to reality than others.
