The words you use in your head matter. Don’t call it hiding away, that makes it sound like something you’re not supposed to do. Call it clearing your head, self care, taking a break, or whatever. Those are normal things to do and come down to exactly the same act of taking some private time.
Giving yourself permission to “hide” is still negative self talk.
That depends on how you look at the word hide. Personally I don’t view the word negatively, thats what im doing is hiding. It is self care, and clearing my head. Its also im hiding because I dont want anyone to find me and I want to be left alone lol I Also think its perfectly ok to hide, thats why we try to maintain private spaces. So we can hide away from the noise sometimes. But, like, just just my opinion man.lol
I wouldn’t say hide, but more like just completely isolate, let everything go and run.
Constantly, it’s one of the voices in the back of my head. It’s constantly whispering “run” “just give up”, it’s just the easiest solution to nearly everything and if it didn’t work the first time. Do it again.
I’m about two months over due at this point…and it’s starting to show.
It seems weird, but I go into work early just for some “me time” to start my day. Eat breakfast, play MY music, catch up on stuff (home and work) . I’ll clarify that at 5:30AM, I’m the first and only in the building until 6AM.
I am a raging extrovert, but sometimes even a few seconds of alone time can do me good.
