RECOIL is a point-and-shoot platformer built around one core idea: your weapon is also your movement. Every bullet fired sends the player launching in the opposite direction, turning each shot into both an attack and a navigation decision. The result is a game of momentum, physics, and reflexes played out across handcrafted levels packed with traps, precision jumps, and brutal timing challenges.

Expect unique, fun level designs, instant restarts, and a steady stream of deaths as you wrestle with momentum and your own aim. Frustrating and satisfying in equal measure, RECOIL rewards persistence and punishes carelessness in the same breath.

Several scenes show level environments built from rectangular platforms and triangular saw-tooth hazards. In some views a small light-blue square character sits against a light-blue landscape; in others the same figure appears in red against a red landscape.

How to Play RECOIL: Master Recoil Momentum to Reach the Goal

The entire movement system flows from a single mechanic: shoot to move. Rotate the player and aim by moving the mouse, then fire with the left mouse button. Each shot generates a powerful recoil force that launches the player in the direction opposite to the bullet's path. Navigating a level means reading that force and using it deliberately — to clear gaps, dodge hazards, and push toward the goal.

One bad shot can send you straight to your death, so controlling momentum is everything. Master your aim, manage the recoil wisely, and embrace failure as part of the process.
