My recommendation is to just run windows if your needs requires .exe. Trying to shoehorn .exe into an OS not designed for your use case will make you hate the OS instead of loving it.

Don’t let some of these fanboys convince you that Wine/bottle is all you need. It’s not. Most apps are well documented. Some are not and you will get frustrated when it’s not.

I’m os agnostic. Run Linux and Windows depending on the situation.

I live in Taiwan and wanted to immigrate into Japan. Ya, it’s damn near impossible to get citizenship. It’s equally hard to get any permanent status there.

5 years if they plan to just stick with 7nm. 5nm will take a good 10 years and the even more advanced stuff is 15+ years.

No, I’m saying this article is literally meaningless. Nobody knows what the hell will happen in 1 year let alone 15+ years later.

Assuming TSMC or Samsung or hell, even Intel didn’t do ANY improvements or even finish the fabs they are CURRENTLY working on. Even with this rare assumption, Huawei won’t effect the market. They are simply too far behind the tech to be able to make a difference.

Even if you started a few years ago, you won’t get a working fab producing anything within 5 years and that is considering if it’s a 5 or 7nm chip. If you want anything as advanced as tsmc 2nm chips, you’re well within 10-15+ years.

I live in Taiwan and have friends who work at TSMC. They are NOT kidding around when it comes to security. No personal cellphones. No smart devices. My buddy couldn’t get approved for a basic pedometer.

Oh, I guess buying stocks is investing. Buying options is gambling. Buying crypto is also gambling.

Unfortunately, the easiest way to know what is on what service is piracy. All in one app. Zero day releases.

That’s true. I’m mostly working at mid sized companies now that can’t afford buying their own buildings. Most of these companies don’t have the incentives or capacity to require RTO and have a productive engineering team.

After COVID, I never wanted to work in an office again. During COVID, I had a constant stream of big companies that asked me to move to their companies. I always bat them away see how awesome my work was with how they took care of COVID and they even talked about making this permanent.

CEO for swapped out and within a few weeks, he implemented a RTO, first with 1 day a week.

My VP was the first to go. He brought me over. After leaving, I bought over my smartest and hardest working employees and left the shit lazy ones that I knew was quit quiting.

Worked at that company for a few years and new CEO got the RTO feelings and this time I left. I told my emplees to leave too and at the end, nobody ran the team.

Valuable people have mobility. Shit employees don’t.

The first company implemented remote work with options. I don’t trust them anymore and would never go back.

Every time I drink, I want to smoke sooooo bad. So I ended up stopping drinking too so I don’t smoke.

My aunt said she she woke up late at night and saw someone shot in front of her home. She thought it was fireworks since it was around 4th of July.

She went to bed and not long later cops started banging on her door asking for her door cam footage.

Never got reported in the news. She lives in White Center.

Don’t use sms. Use the home assistant notify skill. It will notify my phone using the notify.notify skill.

But if I’m going to do 3 pings for the direction of the pings, then I gotta figure out a different solution.

A judge issues a warrant when there is an active criminal investigation. If there’s no investigation, no warrant.

Little known feature on Home Assistant is the ability to have any phone who has home assistant installed to be able to use it as a trigger. So you can see things like battery left and gps location. I have an automations that will ping the last location of my family members when the phone hits 2% power so I can see their last location right before the phone dies.

I still remember plugging in my old school serial keyboard to the thing and playing typing of the dead. The two player is pretty awesome.
