i’m far too late to submit this as a proposal to my online friendgroup’s nearly 12-hour long annual viewing of christmas specials of varying quality, but i’m holding onto it for next year

I will post it earlier next year to remind everyone. It is also available on DVD, and there are versions on YouTube without the original commercials.

oh no worries, i’ve saved a no commercials version on my copy of the playlist with a note to propose it

Wow, interesting. I had no idea this was a thing.

The animation seems quite strong, and the guy doing Opus seems like a real good voice match. At the same time, Opus seems heavily ‘sitcom-cartoonified’ here, turning in to a significantly different character, really. Almost a chatterbox, where in the strips he seemed more shy, quirky, and awkwardly clever, if that’s a thing.

And yet, that’s kinda how it goes when moving a property to TV. So those quibbles aside, it still looks well above average as an animated special.

Remember most of the Opus lines are him narrating/dictating his letter to Santa.

Mm, okay. Maybe the problem is that I never happened to read that book. (or graphic novel, I guess?)

I’ll put it on my list!

Oh, and thank you so much for keeping this project going. It’s appreciated. <3
