Today, September 8th, would have been Patsy’s 75th birthday. She left us way too soon… Her fan base continues to grow and the album “Patsy Cline’s Greatest Hits” has sold over TEN MILLION copies and is listed in the 2005 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. Patsy had (and still may have) the “Most weeks on the US charts for an album by a female artist.” At the time, it had spent a total of 722 weeks in the charts and during that period- the album sat in the No. 1 position for almost FIVE YEARS total!!
Her legacy lives on. Since her untimely death in 1963, she’s been honored with many awards. She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, (the first female solo artist to be honored) the US postal service created a stamp in her likness, she was awarded a Grammy for Lifetime Achievement, a Star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame and has the No. 1 Jukebox hit of ALL time for her 1962 hit single, “Crazy”- written by Willie Nelson and dozens of other awards.
Happy Birthday Patsy- we miss you darlin’, more and more each day…

Happy birthday to a true star that continues to bless and entertain everyone within the sound of her voice. Death cannot silence a legend and time cannot silence the music.
