Even if the work hadn’t been defective, driving a motorcade over it did not help.

Not sure what you tried to link to, but this is a live page continually changing stories. Right now it’s about the reflecting pool damage which is not World news.

I’d advise re-submitting a link that is not changing dynamically.

We don’t allow editorializing in the headlines.

Remove the “Ha!” and you’re golden.

Imma gonna go ahead and feature your post since I was lame and didn’t get it up myself!

Working myself ragged opening my own bookstore, eta Saturday, 8/1!

I’d have to look, but I’m pretty sure I have 3 sets of the Lord of the Rings?

    🤔

Used to be 4, I had a set of crappy paperbacks and wanted something nicer, so I bought the “Millennium Edition":

Which LOOKS great, but the paper is EVEN WORSE than the crappy paperbacks.

For years I looked around for the red hardback edition which was out of print. One would pop up every now and then, but would be damaged or written in or something.

    https://ebay.io/m/FgPQa9

Finally scored a clean copy of that, donated the crappy paperbacks to my little free library, kept the Millennium Edition because it is so very, very, pretty.

And then they came out with an illustrated edition with Tolkien’s own illustrations…

    Fine.

It’s always tricky, but thanks for updating it!

The real problem are the “live” stories that update the headline every time you turn around.

The only solution is to watch it continually and update where applicable,

But I never outright remove something without giving the OP a heads up and a reasonable amount of time to fix it.

At the time of posting, and after a bunch of complaints I’m sure, based on the discussion here ALONE, the original source editorially corrected the headline.

You should have the common sense to do the same, if you don’t, I can just remove the post.

It IS explicit in the rules, first rule in fact:

“Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.”

We require submissions match the source headline.

The title in the original source changed, it’s on you to make sure your title stays updated.

If you’re in reading comments, you can double check and fix the title at the same time.

FYI - A lot of the discussion here about the headline is now irrelevant that the source saw the light and corrected it:

“GOP lawmaker arrested after allegedly sexually abusing a middle schooler in a classroom”

OP - If you can update your headline to match, that would be great!

And, yes “having sex” in this context, is rape apology.

Well, it’s not in Ancient Greek. 😉

One interesting choice he made was in pulling in a character from a ROMAN epic called the Aeneid, which was kind of like fan fiction based on the Greek epics. “Look at us! We were in the Illiad too!”

Just learning how vinyl cutters work. Cricut is the big one, but I picked up a Silhouette Cameo 5 Alpha Plus.

I mean, if you’re operating purely by population, next in line is Houston.

If you’re operating on power and influence, Washington D.C. is #1.

So, when things go badly for ICE officers, the FBI won’t investigate? 🤔

    “Wait, not like that!”
