From a programmers and workflow perspective windows is complete garbage. It does not allow me to change my WM. Im stuck with the default behaviour without the ability for full customisation like Hyprland or Sway have. Installing Programms is deeply unintuitive. Have to search for a Programm, download it from a sketchy looking button and run an installer. Software providers often enough don’t even provide sha256 sums. How can I be sure, that I downloaded the correct executable? Even if a hash is provided, most people won’t bother to check it. These are elementary flaws that hinder widespread windows adoption.

A GUI is nice, but becomes obsolete, once you know the keybindings. I personally disabled all GUI elements of my editor (emacs) because I don’t need them anyway.

Just start using it? Watch some tutorials for the basic keybindings, copy a config from someone else and try to understand what’s going on and from there on you can start building your own config. Theres also a ton of information available on how to do specific things.

Ich trage halt Röcke deutlich lieber als Hosen und bin ziemlich gehfaul, weshalb das dann das kleinere Übel ist.

Es gibt übrigens noch mehr Tricks mit denen man mit Rock Fahrrad fahren kann. Das ist NIR das wie ich es immer mache.

Kommt halt drauf an welche Strecken man fährt. Wenn man alle 50m anhalten muss ist dad in der Tat eher unpraktisch.

Man kann zu Hause ja anfangen und wenn es gefällt kann man ja auch anfangen die dann anderswo anzuziehen.

Man kann je nach Rock problemlos damit Fahrrad fahren. Der Trick dabei ist, dass man dann den Rock zwischen den Beinen durchsclägt und den “Stoffüberschuss” auf den Sattel legt und sich drauf setzt. Ich würde jetzt vermutlich keine Fahrradtour im Rock machen, aber man kann mit ein bisschen Übung problemlos mit Röcken Fahrrad fahren.

So far my personal favourite is manjaro. I always liked Arch based distros and Manjaro has done a great job at pre configuring everything. Manjaro also came with zsh as the default shell and I really liked that.
