  • Not only did none of the models fail to predict the actual warming that we have experienced, but the claims about renewables are completely disingenuous if not outright lies. The only demand destruction ever witnessed for carbon based fuels was due to work from home during COVID. Current consumption levels exceed pre-covid levels and continue to grow. Yes renewable use is growing, but it is additional power consumption, not replacement. We will be pumping negative eroi oil out of the ground with solar powered pumps at some point. Have to burn all of the carbon.

  • I have a law degree from a top tier school, passed the bar, have practiced law for 19 years, and filed hundreds of lawsuits in my particular niche. I would be scared to file a lawsuit that is not in my specialty or something closely related because I have doubts about my ability to do so competently. There are so many ways to lose a lawsuit that it is very difficult to litigate successfully without years of training. You would need experienced lawyers to teach the classes.

I doubt learning the requisite skills is worth the effort if you are not likely to ever be involved in a lawsuit (most people are not).

All of that said, perhaps the legal system needs to be reformed to remove the complications that necessitate the training, but those complications are the results of centuries of trying to provide fairness and due process to all parties involved.
