We aren’t the aggressors forcing Europe, Canada, Japan, and Australia to ramp up defence. Russia and China are, as well as the US signalling how unreliable and ally they are.
Russia threatens to nuke this country on a weekly basis, carried out nuclear assassinations on our soil, and brainless tankies like this one is blaming us for it?
If the UK got rid of its nukes then we’d just be defenceless against Russia, China, and even the US if the US decides they don’t value their old allies (which seems to be the case these days).

Yes they’re civilians. Not just bankers (although I don’t think bankers deserve death just because someone on the internet doesn’t like them). There will be cleaners, bus drivers, shop workers, etc, and you want to murder them all with a nuclear bomb.

As for the hypothetical harm to the hypothetical civilians in the hypothetical scenario where I hypothetically have a nuclear bomb, I hope you have the same level of outrage about the real civilians in Gaza that the RAF has provided over 50% of the reconnaissance overflights for, to help Israel more efficiently massacre them using drones built with UK components.
Unlike that person’s imaginary nukes, you are building real actual nukes and threatening civilians with them. And if they definitely weren’t threatening civilians they wouldn’t serve their purpose as a deterrent so there would be no point building them.
