    timely reporting as always, I read about “passport bros” on 4chan before the evidence came out that the modteam was stuffed with Steve Bannon’s stooges.

    Yes, it was a cesspit before that, but the key words in the sentence above were “evidence” and “Steve Bannon”

      My conspiracy theory was that they gave moot the option to play their game, sell to someone who would, or end up in a ditch and moot sold and disappeared from the public space. There was a slow change since he sold and his alleged meeting with Epstein explains a lot.

          I don’t see what the Obama presidency has to do with anything. Steve Bannon was selling WoW gold and Epstein wanted microtranstions in CoD, so they have their target demographic. This was also around the time that political astroturfing was getting more active on reddit and that was the platform it was easy to detect. Everywhere else, it would be harder to tell.

          It’s the same logic where neo-nazis would try recruiting outside of punk shows, but punk shows got better about kicking the neo-nazis out. With 4chan, they just outright bought the venue.

              I think they absolutely would. If you think January 6th was some new, never before tried thing, you probably never heard of the Brook Brother’s Riot. I’m not talking the average Maga follower. I’m talking about the Bannons, Epsteins and Roger Stones. I’ve heard very old, very pre-Gamer Gate interviews with moot and he seems like the type to nope the fuck out of this noise.
