I’ve never gone through anything quite that physically traumatic but, without disclosing my medical history to the internet, I’ve also taken injury from accommodating others so I get where you’re coming from. Like oxygen masks on aeroplanes, we need to look after ourselves before we can look after others.
It’s okay, I didn’t experience much of it or could remember (the injection you get let’s you lose memory) but the drug induced experiences and everything are quite twilight zone style and never leave you. You’re worse off than before but okay, the most aggravating thing is that you get told you should be thankful.
