My whole point is that if someone is clapping or booing or otherwise reacting to a person speaking and they’re not actively disrupting the speaker it shouldn’t be a problem.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect people to not react or be silent when talking about stuff that impacts them directly and as long as it’s not very clearly outright hate speech or disrupting a speaker then it should be okay.

Rules of decorum are fine and all but when they’re used as a cudgel to silence expression from constituents at a town hall that’s bad.

Drive in theater - I expect all that, expect the audio to be whatever because it’s my car speakers, expect kids and people running around, expect some noise and chaos. It’s annoying when people leave their car lights on though or headlights and don’t realize it.

Movie theater - dark AF, phones are distracting as hell because my eyes can’t ignore a giant bright light appearing out of nowhere and you’re at the goddamn movie theater. Turn your phone off. If you can’t keep your phone off for the duration of a movie or live theater show then do not go for the love of God.

They were probably popular enough but yeah steam and especially gasoline engine powered equipment made those obsolete. Seems like a useful tool, they could be taken apart and brought into the woods so you could also get the pieces cut up to be easier to haul out by whatever pack animals or team or yourself.

To be fair Obama did try to do it but Congress screwed him.

He did successfully drastically reduce the number of prisoners held there but Congress held up funds and approvals for certain prisoner transfers preventing the actual closure.
