I’m trying to think of a time a noise was distrupting my sleep and only example I can think of is waves hitting the boat hull. It’s quite irregular sound which is why it bothers me. Music, talking, fan, road noise or such doesn’t effect me at all.

There’s no difference whatsoever between how a good AI song and a good organic one makes me feel. None.

Factory farming isn’t a bad analogue as it’s the only morally indefensible behaviour I knowingly partake in. Though personally I’m unconvinced about the unethicality of AI, but that’s not what this thread is about.

The thing is that there are very few bands that I like. I like individual tracks from multiple bands but rarely I stumble upon one that has more than one good song. If I randomly pick 1000 songs from my playlists there’s probably well over 900 individual artists there.

YouTube does a half decent job at recommending me music I like - much better than Spotify at least, but even then it constantly reguires me to get up and go change a track which is exactly the thing I don’t want to do when I put up music playing in the background while doing something else.

I don’t like all kinds of music. I don’t even like most AI-generated music. I’m extremely picky about what I listen to. The thing with AI, however, is that if it can create one song in the style I like, it can then create a 2-hour playlist of songs just like that and they’re all good. This is virtually never the case with human artists. When I find a good organic track and then go listen to other songs from that artist I usually don’t like any of the other ones.
