Effective 08/18/2023, Boaters born after July 1, 2007 are required by law to pass an approved boater education course before operating a boat, personal watercraft, or a specialty propcraft powered by 10 hp motor or more.

Greenville is at the foothills of the mountains. They are close, ~30 minute drive away but not in them. Greenville also rarely gets snow, maybe once a year. The elevation of Greenville is at about 1000 feet. This does make it a little cooler than say Columbia but not nearly as cold or snowy as Asheville.
