Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) remains in the hospital recovering from what he claimed was a fall on June 14 that left him unconscious. While he said he didn't suffer a concussion or break any bones, a bout of mild pneumonia put him out of commission for 46 days so far. It's the main reason that quest...
I look forward to people continuing to call me crazy for suggesting Dems are controlled opposition. Real opposition would have called an election.
I don’t think youre crazy but in this situation, why would the dems want a special election? He will be replaced by another able bodied voting republican. As of now, the Republicans simply lose a vote until midterms.
I don’t think he would be. Gop been losing races across the country, I feel like there’s a decent chance they would lose this one too.
This is Kentucky, they are not worried about losing the seat. What they should do is just put a dem in his seat and let the courts sort it out, which is exactly what Republicans would do. But ya… Controlled opposition…
There is zero chance a Republican doesn’t replace him. It’s ky…
Yes, the same KY that elected a Democrat as governor.
I like beshear but the big reason he won is his name.
You’re not crazy, but if people don’t show up for primaries and the rich are funding the candidates, this is what you get. Apathy and ignorance are what got us here.
Hillary and Biden didn’t win their primaries because the vote was rigged. Yeah they tipped the scales but if young people would have gotten off their ass and voted it would have been a landslide. Kamala was a disaster because we allowed Hilary and Biden. This stuff didn’t just happen.
I then get a response like, “what about Obama? He didn’t do shit”
Yeah, “real opposition would have called an election” but the people we have in power are the ones put there by the people who showed up to vote. And don’t get caught in the bait and switch line.
Yeah, yeah, elections don’t end fascism, true. But the road to fascism didn’t happen overnight, we let this happen.
