I really enjoyed this game, and keep thinking I should do a second “all bad choices” playthrough. Sad to hear it’s getting pulled from digital storefronts, and people aren’t going to have access to it going forward.

I was a big fan of Telltale games and this felt like a spiritual successor to them.
Unfortunate that they announced this immediately after the sale finished. I went ahead and grabbed a copy. Thanks for the heads up!
The game wasn’t too bad for what it was, but since the start it’s been fairly riddled with bugs and glitches that were never addressed. They also wired in a “your choices” system that players were meant to be able to use to match the choices they made against those of other players, but it was broken from the start and the website needed for that to work soon disappeared.
The company posted the game and pretty much abandoned it soon after, and just two years later it’s being withdrawn from sale and any new player who wants it will have to pirate it.
This game had the potential to be so much better, and could even have kicked off a series of new Trek stories in the classic Telltale style, but the company really failed at making it happen.
Even some achievements were bugged.
I really liked it.
The Switch version is arguably a step down from the PC version (not sure about other consoles), but both have their distinct charms. Well worth grabbing while you can.
The best Star Trek game I’ve ever played. Nothing else captures the spirit of trek quite like it. I highly recommend picking it up if you can.
I don’t know if I’d call it the best Trek game I’ve ever played, myself. That probably goes to Elite Force or one of the earlier adventure games (25th Anniversary or TNG: A Final Unity).
But fully agree this was at least one of the better Trek games and deserved better. Folks should grab it while they can, if they missed out until now.
Have you played Elite Force recently? It was a fun romp through a Trek ship museum, and had the benefit of voice acting from the cast, but I didn’t enjoy it as much recently as I did when I was a kid and it makes me sad.
I have! It definitely goes off the rails a bit in the second half, but I still found it a lot of fun.
Elite Force 2, on the other hand, does not hold up well in my opinion.

Worth playing once if you’ve never done it, sure.
It adds a few neat gameplay things, but fumbles elsewhere, especially the writing. One step forwards, two steps back IMO.
I might have loved it if it didn’t run like a slide show on fairly decent PC hardware. I haven’t been able to even make it on the ship without these huge frame drops. There’s no way to fix it that I can see. It makes it hard to deal with. Also, why is the FOV so close, I can practically smell the commander’s hair? Right, if we back off the FOV, we can barely maintain 30 FPS. It’s another unoptimized game that we are just supposed to enjoy cause Star Trek. I’m tired, boss.
This is fairly common. Don’t get upset over it. Video games with licensed IPs are taken down all the time.
