Allegations against U.S. Rep. Max Miller, a White House adviser during President Donald Trump’s first term, have been public for years but have recently drawn increased media scrutiny amid an escalating legal back-and-forth with his former spouse, who is the daughter of U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio.
Also, it’s not the abuse claims that are mounting… it’s the focus on them. The original headline is accurate, and yours isn’t.

That’s a good point. I noticed the red button, but thought it could be a reflection coming off a metal button, which G-Shocks typically have. But the second photo does make it pretty clear that the button is actually red.
The distinctive band and bulbous “bar” at the bottom of the case seem to suggest Surfrider models from that era, e.g. this and this.
The case shape and split screen immediately suggested “G-Shock,” but it took some work to narrow down which. It’s almost certainly this G-Shock 1995 Surfrider Foundation DW-002D-3. The surprising thing is that this model’s screen actually doesn’t have a hard “split” like other G-Shocks, but in the low lighting the 1-2-3-4-5 row could be mistaken for one.
Big Rock must have sent a cease and decist.
I think it’s a thought experiment.
That head/tail thing is kind of a goofy argument. For one thing they aren’t duals;
tailis naturally more complex because the end of a file often changes and the application can optionally keep showing you the new output. Also, the fact that they’re separate applications in the first place is arguably better than the a one-application approach, which would always require a command line switch to select between outputting the start or end of a file. And finally, while I guess this could vary between implementations ofheadandtail, mine has identical switches for all the common options.
1·9 days agoI think what you’re saying is, that many people have a problem with algorithms where the developers have their “thumb on the scale” to manipulate what content gets promoted or is considered popular.
But it’s not hard to find people who are also critical of the purer type of algorithm, where upvotes are used to sort content, and things get popular for being popular in a “hivemind” fashion, which Lemmy does just like Reddit before it.
