I had a layover in Reno a little while ago and there were a bunch of dogs deployed around just for people to pet and enjoy their company, after I met one his trainer gave me a little trading card with a picture of the dog and a short bio. Improved my day immensely

2·20 days agoI read those recently and really liked them so I decided to continue with some of his other books. I just finished Dogs of War and thought it was pretty good, the premise reminds me of a Grant Morrison comic I read ages ago called We3.

Just like how you don’t notice the ambient scent of a place you’ve been for a while or the feeling of your tongue inside your mouth, until your attention is drawn to them they just melt into the texture of life.
Plus, at least for me, they aren’t on the same level as real sights and sounds, more of a phantom version.

I watched Rogue One after I finished Andor and I was pretty disappointed, it’s an alright movie I guess but a huge downgrade from the show IMO.
Brand loyalty didn’t really even occur to me when I was a kid
I went: NES, Sega Genesis, PSX, and then stuck with PCs from then on and haven’t looked back.

7·3 months agoI know not everybody can do this but where I live many houses have apple trees and a whole lot of them go unpicked, I just knock on the door and ask to pick and mostly get a yes.
My local elementary school has like 6 cherry trees that anyone can pick and blackberries are an invasive weed here and are literally everywhere.
There might be more available to you than you realize.

A bit off topic but I’m curious what you mean by modern sailboats and what makes them better than conventional ones?
