“They” (we) aren’t being killed en masse.
Yeah, I feel like violence is evangelized online in odd ways.
The class that suffers the most in violent uprisings is the lowest class. By orders of magnitude. For every member of the bourgeois that is taken down, tens or hundred or thousands of every day people are injured or killed.

Ask Lemmy•If shit is present tense, and shat is past tense, is there no future tense of the word shit?
1·2 years agoShall and will can be interchanged.
“Are going to” is slightly different. Still future yes, but is usually used to indicate intention rather than decisions.
“I will shit soon” and “I am going to shit” both mean basically the same thing but the connotations of those sentences are slightly different.
Vacuum sealers aren’t too expensive. Sounds like if you’ve been struggling for years, you’re overdue to just get one and be done with it.

241·2 years agoNouns don’t need tenses.
Shit in the future and shit in the past.

74·2 years agoSimilar to many verbs that need an object, you add “will” to the present tense.
He will run. She will jump. You will shit.

Technology•Since nothing in this community is about technology we might as well talk about science fiction.English
4·2 years agoNew age sci-fi, but you have GOT to read the Murder Bot books. They are absolutely incredible. They’ve also won Nebula and Hugo awards.
This is a super underrated fun little game. Great on steam deck or similar too if you prefer a handheld.
Weird vibes here. This is a beta test for a feature update to the actual browser, the part we like using. Not some AI bullshit, the actual browser.
Try it out. See if it’s good. Provide feedback if it’s bad, that’s the point. This isn’t even an announcement for a change, it’s an announcement for an opportunity to test a potential change. Just be happy they’re working on the actual thing they should be, and provide constructive feedback.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How to deal with Mom who CANNOT learn how to use a password manager, but demands I "fix it"
6·2 years agoI don’t understand this answer. I use Firefox on my phone and I have Bitwarden, my password manager of choice, installed. Autofill works great, it prompts me to unlock Bitwarden with my thumbprint and it’s one tap to fill the username and password.

Ask Lemmy•Those who live outside of the US, what's something Americans aren't ready to hear?
2·2 years agoGreat, thanks. I want to know what OP actually wants us to do. I hate the situation we were in and I sure as shit didn’t vote for this asshole the first or second time, but other than voting and trying to survive what exactly do you want us to do to “get our shit together”.

Ask Lemmy•Those who live outside of the US, what's something Americans aren't ready to hear?
6·2 years agoI guess it’s much less than half.
About 1/7 are less than voting age. Another 1/7 or so voted for the oompa loompa, and another 1/7 voted against. So actually, about half of the population just doesn’t vote because they’re a different type of idiot.
I do hate it here, for what it’s worth.

I do too but I feel there should be the ability to manage tab memory in a more intelligent manner than just “gobble gobble”.
