I’m 48. Grew up without Internet, without cell phones, without fox news.

When 9/11 happened fox became one of the hottest news outlets. I started watching it all the time. Then I started listening to Rush, Glenn Beck, And Michael savage. It was literally changing my thought process. To the point I didn’t recognize myself. With that self realization and some friends and family commenting that I turned into a asshole.

I shut that shit off permanently and it took awhile but I finally recognized myself and vowed to do better.

Fight for the causes you believe in. Everything else tune out as much as possible it’s the only thing that has kept me sane since Trump’s second term. I limit myself to 30 minutes of world news a day.

Don’t click or read anything that outrages you, you can always find a summary on reddit or here without giving the right wing media views.

20 plus years of fox News has destroyed this country. And nobody seems to remember a time when most headlines weren’t rage bait or just fkn gossip

I spent $300 on the blackshark gaming headset. One of the best and most comfortable headsets I’ve ever owned. And it has anc toggle.

I tried on and off again across numerous. Devices and with different ips for a couple of years and just gave up.

So I said fuck reddit. Found lemmy. I refuse to click any reddit links.

It’s unbelievable how far reddit has fallen. From 2010 to about 2016. It was the website I visited the most. There were very useful and knowledgeable posts there. It was considered a left leaning website.

Then a ban Then another ban. Few more finally permabanned and anything I create even on new hardware on a new ip was auto banned on the first post.

I gave up. I refuse to click reddit links anymore. Uninstalled the app. I wish I could remember the passwords to my old accounts because I would nuke my entire post history

I don’t know how a company survives by nuking it’s user base who made it. And I’m far from the only person who’s been permabanned. Some entire communities user base has been wiped out.

I usually just search for my TV models calibration settings. Either reddit or some av forum usually has some good settings that work for me.

I’ve had a Dolby atmos boxed 5.1 sound bar with sub and rear speaker from Hisense since I got it. I think maybe once a year it losses handshake but just restart everything seems to fix it

As a father of a daughter who loves spiderman. I want her to see spider Gwen on the big screen while she’s still young, 12.

The spiderverse movies are our favorite to watch together. But weve watched all the movies together and have our tickets for next Friday. With miles we most likely will see Gwen but I want my daughter to be able to see her as the lead.

I almost want there to be a hell. I most likely would end up there for my denial of a greater being.
