Campaign evolved releases as a painfully mediocre tribute of sorts, and half of what H1 originally offered is absent. Much of what the final bungie halo game from 2010 (matchmaking, customs, file share, theatre, forge, firefight) is not seen, despite using the same technology, and several modders have uncovered that this functionality still sort of exists in this game.
Bugs, worse audio than the original, visual glitches, poor performance.
There’s a non-zero chance they’ll sell the franchise off. I’m hoping it lands with Certain Affinity.
Even putting aside the weird cutscenes, shimmering graphics, bad performances and writing, and in some ways downgraded gameplay, $50 is way too expensive for what’s offered here. I may buy it at $25.
