I honestly was trying to figure out when 7K overtook 4K, and what bullshit resolution was next.

Then I realized it was seven thousand images of CSAM.

    Nothing of value was lost

I just hope that she recovers from the trauma

    Speedrunning pedophilia.

    Thankfully no innocents were harmed.

To be clear, damage was certainly done, I’m Just glad he didn’t actually get a hold of the victim in question.

Ehhh, physically harmed, if I learned that my step father was doing that and then killed himself I think I would have some issues to talk about with a therapist.

        That’s obviously what I meant.

But, yeah, it’s Grok. The chances of getting that shit scrubbed from Elon’s private backups is pretty low.

My gut reaction was “good” too, until I read the rest of the article. I didn’t factor in that a traumatized family would have been inevitable, but that was the worst outcome for them. What a selfish ass, even to the end.

      Family is ruined.

Her mom was devastated about her husband killing himself.

She had to deal with the thousands of images generated based off a picture of her at age 11.

There is a lot of harm here.

The supreme court only really decides matters if constitutional law. Furthermore, for a case to get to the supreme court you need a bunch of the lower courts to have conflicting rulings. The supreme court only hears a tiny amount of cases per year so I don’t see why this would reach the top.

This would almost certainly be decided by a lower court. A ruling then could be appealed but unless there is something major in the case a decision by the lower court would stand.

It’s not just X, if you read the whole article.

That report did not call out X or xAI, but it did suggest that it’s likely common for AI firms to avoid sharing information on AI CSAM that cops can use to make arrests. For another example, NCMEC noted that Amazon AI services submitted the vast majority of tips (1.1 million), and none of those tips gave “actionable information” that law enforcement could use to identify perpetrators.

Emphasis mine. These companies are willfully hiding the identity of the perpetrators from the police, probably because of the fear of prosecution for their own culpability in the crimes. Honestly, this is really a massive conspiracy among AI companies to profit off of child sexual exploitation. Not only are they providing the means for the people to commit the crimes, they are actively hiding the identity of the perpetrators.

      Edited for formatting.
