South Australia has confirmed its first detection of H5 bird flu.

To help keep communities informed, the South Australian Government is hosting a community forum in Goolwa on Monday 6 July.

This forum will provide updates on the current preparedness measures in place, as well as the animal, human and environmental health considerations.

You’ll hear from government leaders and experts including the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development the Hon Clare Scriven MLC, Minister for Climate, Environment and Water and Minister for Tourism, the Hon Emily Bourke MLC, and representatives from the Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia, Department for Environment and Water and SA Health.

The forum will feature expert presentations on bird flu, public health advice and safety, and include an expert panel Q&A.

There will be opportunities for attendees to share insights and ask questions.

Forums are free and open to the public.

Registration is essential due to venue capacity.
