It was subsequently amended by Regulation (EU) 2024/1183 to address these shortcomings, improving the effectiveness of the framework and extending its benefits to the private sector. The amending Regulation entered into force on 20 May 2024, and each Member State is to make at least one EU Digital Identity Wallet available to its citizens and residents by the end of 2026.

This to me says pretty clearly every member must have a digital ID system by the end of 2026.

Same here, now we have to replace countless testing PCs because they don’t have TPM 2. In our case migrating the software wasn’t that difficult, but still a shame to throw out perfectly good hardware. And due to paranoid internal regulations, the PCs are to be fully shredded as well…
