Exactly. With video/bluetooth/etc data points to tie it to anyone nearby and commonly now in locations with multiple cameras covering each other. It’s a trickier task than it sounds at first. Not that I’ve been thinking about how someone would approach removing these or anything.

I routinely make red sauce based dishes in our large cast iron skillet and have never had any problems. My wife and I have both been busy with other crap after dinner and found it all dried up before we got back to it, and never had to re-season. I’m sure the acid isn’t great for it, but it’s not as big a deal as people seem to think in my experience.

A recurring theme in these games is being completely overwhelmed and fighting the urge to just give up. They’re definitely not for everyone. I bounced off Dark Souls 1-3 for years trying to see what the big deal was, and then it just kinda clicked. They really are amazing games (Elden Ring is probably in my top 3 of all time) but I totally understand not getting it.

If you DO ever decide to try Elden Ring again, the area people were probably telling you to head for to level up with slightly easier fights is across a large bridge to the SE of where you start. Once you have Torrent you can just ride through all the bullshit on the bridge and start having fun on a decently large island with weaker fights. There’s nothing in the game to tell you this, it of course immediately points you toward a direct path to some fairly hard bosses 🤷‍♂️

Was just in DC for work. Every 5th car is marked Police, there’s soldiers just milling around coffee shops etc with rifles in small groups, and the 20-somethings sent there all pop their sirens to blaze through every intersection all day/night long.
