Wife made me watch Brokeback. Would watch it again. Maybe. It deserved the Best Picture. It lost to Crash, which was entertaining and I enjoyed it, but it was silly and the Academy should have seen right through it.

Brokeback had one gay sex scene, and it wasn’t that bad. (I don’t enjoy any sex scenes in movies. Except in Requiem For a Dream, those were awesome.) It had more for straight people. Oh and the film was gorgeous. If you enjoy watching movies, you should see it.

For anyone that’s never seen it, you’re missing out. Gyllenhaal and Ledger turned in masterpiece performances, any actor doing half that good in any role should be proud.

Hathaway and Williams in their supporting roles also killed it. Williams, I think it was her best in movies (though she did some tv work that wasn’t supporting where she shines more. Check out the “if walls could talk” duo of TV movies, or whatever it exactly was named. I can’t remember the title perfectly of the two, but I remember her performance in it).

Hell, even Quaid managed to turn in a serious performance that didn’t disrupt the feel.

And the fucking… cinematography (sorry, couldn’t resist) was just breathtaking, even on the old crt TV we used to have when we watched it on VHS. That’s saying a lot about how perfectly filmed it was.

No bullshit, no more jokes, it’s a movie everyone should see once just to see film making at its peak

I’ll just hover for that extra second to make the algorithm sweat just a moment.

I guess I’m settling in for this dark romance fully of 10/10 hotties… so the Algorithm doesn’t suspect anything.
