I’ve been using rechargeable AAs in my G602 for almost 2 decades. There’s absolutely no need for proprietary bullshit to be involved when it comes to powering a mouse. Even the shitty little inland one I carry around in my work bag takes a AA.

I’m on my 2nd set of switches on my current mouse from ~2010 because I can’t find a new one with that and a button layout that is as good. It’s insane to me that no one has made a viable replacement since then.

I’ve been judged negatively for not having social media but never by anyone I was actually interested in dating. Being obsessed with social media is a big turn off for me.

I think they think an app that isn’t being run by a corporation for profit would help them get laid. In theory the government could run and app for this purpose but I don’t think it would work well in practice at least not in the US.

Yeah, it displays a serious lack of self reflection. I was on a bad track as a teenager/young adult, hating the world and being a real dick about it. Eventually I realized that feeling so pissed off and lonely all the time actually sucks and I should work on myself to try and improve that situation and have a more positive impact on people’s lives. It took some time and a lot of effort but it worked out okay and I’m widely considered to be a fairly likeable person now.

This person and people like them clearly haven’t made the effort to be better and don’t deserve our patience until they’ve done something to improve. It’s sad that circumstances have led them to be where they are and we should do what we can to prevent others from ending up there but it’s not our responsibility to accept abuse from damaged people.
