That’s really the golden ticket there. With a seed box there’s no chance your VPN fails (download stuff on the box directly, you’ll have a secure shell and KVM). That can be a real problem with normal vpns if not configured properly (you need to force traffic through the VPN and reject on failure, while most default to a fail back and will expose your IP.)

Seed boxes are typically virtual private servers. Very much like a VPN (it’s a proxy.) but they’re on major backbones. You get incredible bandwidth. Most will let you put up web services. You get storage…

Many are just 5-10 bucks a month.

Definitely suggested over vanilla vpns.

If you really want to see some interesting data then search data eye. It’s basically an infinity. Yet the exact eye itself is the dual peak and valley (DDR transmission on rise and fall off the signal).

This is why memory is positioned as close to the CPUs possible because the longer those traces are the more latency that’s involved but ultimately in memory even though we’ve gone to much higher bandwidth latency has remained pretty similar for the last several decades.

There’s even some that can certainly hit around 100 GB/s. But that’s usually the more specialty gddr. The data eyes on quad pumped memory are quite beautiful. Kind of like fractals.

Yes. Ext4 is far better (including efficiency) than FAT. A very modern FS versus one of the oldest and terribly inefficient… Lol

FAT typically has large cluster sizes, especially on large volumes. Ext4 has relatively small clusters. A tremendous amount of small files could possibly explain it. Did you happen to enable any compression for the volume?
