I don’t believe that’s really possible, at least not this time around. DSA is not a registered political party running candidates in races, they are running as Democrats. Meaning there might be DSA vs Dem in primary, but whoever wins that would be the Dem candidate.
How that affects voting is up for debate, but it doesn’t split the vote like running a DSA candidate against Dem and Rep candidate would.

This is a sign that the system is working, not a failure. It’s a voluntary recall, meaning there is elevated risk - possible risk - but nobody’s gotten sick. So this is to be safe and minimize the chances anyone does get sick.

There are many many broken things in the US. This is not one of them.
It’s one of the things that most frustrates me about the Fediverse. Some users are incapable of nuance and see any slight against them as a sign that the other person is The Enemy.
I’ve been a moderator (and am a moderator) many places and… that is true of most of them. Doesn’t matter how blatant the rule violation or how clearly the rule was stated, a lot of people take very personal offence. It’s one reason many mods in many places end up rather jaded and stop bothering to explain because it doesn’t help most of the time.
I try my best to be patient first, because I’ve found that like 25% of the time or so I can at least get someone to understand that it wasn’t personal or anything like that. I’ve certainly had people in subreddits I’ve moderated as well on an open-source game forum I host/administer/moderate turn around and become good community members.
But it is moderately rare, and these days after I’ve been patient and try to explain once, I go to zero tolerance quickly and just ban, mute, move on.
It is a pervasive problem of anonymous or semi-anonymous internet. Generally a price worth paying considering alternatives (identity requirements), but it is a choice and a price.

The problem is: Every cop is different, and you don’t know who you’re dealing with until you’re already in it.
As a white cis male, my experiences with cops has been about half alright and half mildly shitty. I bet you your average person of color would have a higher shitty time on average.

Instead of replying to a couple of comments in here that would make my comment sound like a personal attack, I will just say that I personally find those that can’t tell the difference between legit non-work links suspicious or not are generally lacking in skills.
If I get a link to a survey site that otherwise sounds like it might be legit, it’s usually not difficult to google up the domain or company and see if it looks legit. And you can always check with your manager. If they say it’s legit and it turns out not to be legit, you can point to them. And if that fails “you should know better”, then you ask what your company wants you to do and follow those guidelines.
My comment is mostly a reaction to those that think it’s clever to report all legit third-party emails that are clearly legit as phishing. I’m not saying there can’t even be doubts - not at all. It’s a complex topic and we’re all talking generally generic here, not specific examples anyway, so it’s all generalizzations. i.e. don’t take my arguments TOO seriously… heh
