Definitely true for them being unobjectified and generally proficient but they often end up being quite forgettable and/or underutilized unfortunately. So it kind of goes from one side of the subpar female character writing spectrum to the other. I’d go into detail but I don’t want to go on a tirade about how disappointing it is.

I completely agree with the “underutilized”. That is certainly the best adjective to sum up the situation.
