Yea, I saw it on a ‘best of the year’ list and had never heard of it before then. I’m glad they had a demo, because it hooked me.
I make things with computers. Preferably artsy things, but I also like to work on random scripts and pipelines. I like D&D & video games, but don’t always have time to play them. I like pet chicken. I watch soccer, especially NWSL & USWNT, as well as some WSL and whatever happens to be on.

Has anyone played this co-op? How is it? I saw that only one player can see the text/interaction screens at a time… Is that pretty annoying?

Playing Absolum. I’m pretty bad at it, but I’m having fun.

It wasn’t one specific thing. We were switching from Facebook Messenger, and found ourselves not wanting to use it all that much, often falling back to Messenger. For me, personally, I also didn’t like that it didn’t have a web client.

Yea, we tried Signal a while back, but for whatever reason we didn’t care for it.

Thanks for the info. My wife and I tried Signal a while back and didn’t care for it.
I’m trying to get xmpp going today, even just as a test. 🤞

I guess it doesn’t have to be, but I really like the idea of having control over the data, and not handing it over to some other entity, even if they say they’re not evil. It just seems like communication without a 3rd party in between is a good idea, so I’m trying to make that work for now.

I believe Nextcloud Talk uses FCM for notifications. The issue doesn’t seem to be on the FCM side, it’s the client marking messages as read incorrectly, or not notifying because it thinks it’s running in the foreground, etc. They’re definitely working on these issues, but my family has lost confidence in it.
I will check out Snikket, thanks!

Oof, I never made it past the first 2 episodes. Maybe I should give the third a try, but damn, they were trying so hard to be… I don’t know, edgy? Crude? It just seemed to be made for a different audience, which is fine, it just wasn’t for me. But I liked Academy, so what do I know…
Got Absolum. Not the biggest discount, but I played the demo some time back and it kept lingering in my mind. Really looking forward to play co-op with my wife.
Here’s me being the first to tell you that AIO works great for me. Installation was super easy on Linux, and not so bad on synology. Updating the containers is only 2 buttons, so that’s easy as well.

It just chooses not to.
Gummy bears, or almost anything gummy, really. Sometimes I like to pair them with a salty snack like nuts or chips, for a more balanced meal.

What about this is funny?

That’s crazy, I was a kid in Germany when Becker was big, and though his career was not as long lived as Steffi Graff’s it always seemed like there was another German ready to take the reigns right around the corner. I can’t believe it’s been 30 years.

For chickens and turkeys it’s basically: Keep them warm. Keep them fed. Keep them clean.
They have brooders, which are basically simple enclosures for this kind of thing.
That’s usually when there’s no mother though. I have no idea where they would keep her, or if she goes in and out. My guess is they just have a safe spot the duck likes, and they started feeding them.

Gameplay trailer? … They must really not have any confidence in the gameplay, because that was 95% cut sequences.
“Has anyone seen my glasses?”
“Alexa, what time is it?” is pretty common in my house. I do use my phone a lot for it, but I’m also more likely to get distracted if I do.
