That’s what they call a “Pavement Princess,” basically a truck that is done up to be useless as a truck, and will never climb anything bigger than a curb at the local waffle house.

Ya STARS is one of those things most people don’t pay much attention to until it’s needed, but they are a really nice thing to have especially considering how large our country is.

My trip with them was about 80 miles to Winnipeg, and took about 18 minutes from the time they stuffed me in the back to the time they put me into the ambulance at the airport. I can’t imagine how long that would have taken by ground.

Honestly I don’t think I needed to get there that fast, but they were worried because I had head trauma and had lost a lot of blood so they erred on the side of caution, which was understandable.

here in Canada I had an accident once. Was loaded onto a STARS helicopter, flown 80 miles to the nearest city, unloaded into an ambulance for the rest of the trip to the hospital, x-rayed, stitches, and two surgeries.

Only thing I paid for was a dollar for some really bad coffee from the hospital canteen.

Most of them are not in Russia, It would be much easier to find and block them if they were all coming from the same country. Instead, they’re scattered all over the place to blend in, and to take advantage of cheap labor.

I get like that too sometimes… you get really excited and amped up over something, but then afterwards you just feel drained and dead tired.

I was tempted to, but I was concerned people would think I’m a chemo patient so I left them alone.

I think it was several things, but the reason she gave me was that I looked too young. ( I was in my mid-40’s and only a few years younger than her.)

I suspect that her bi-polar issues played into that though as well. She was a very difficult person to keep happy.

I asked my ex gf once if I should shave, her reply was that it didn’t matter to her.

Several weeks later while I was shaving my beard, I had one of those sporadic moments where I thought to myself…why not? So I kept shaving. Shaved my head, chest etc, everything. By the time I was done I was more aerodynamic than a fighter jet.

My gf refused to talk to me after that for two weeks.

Not when they’re underfed and don’t know wtf they’re doing.

Watch it several times. (Not necessarily in a row) Each time it’s like a whole new movie because of all the stuff you didn’t notice before.

I half joke there, but until I was in my 40’s I never could sit still long enough to watch an entire movie from start to finish. Still enjoyed a lot of them, just in bite size pieces.

We still use them here in Canada for stuff like canned ham and Klik luncheon meat. I’ve got one in my cupboard right now.
