I built my first PC 6 years ago, before PS5 was released.

My PC can still play new release AAA games at high quality graphics and probably will for a number of years still… when it starts to slack a couple hundred $ and it will be good as new.

Was pricey up front but in the end better quality, more choice, and longer lasting.

In the area I live in there’s a lot of places 55+ so it limits the amount of housing in the city available to working class people and those trying to raise families, increasing their housing prices. The community has a lot of old folks.

The 55+ areas where I live are generally little rancher communities or apartments, some are low income type apartments but many are also luxury type apartments.

I could understand if the apartments or ranchers were built with accessibility in mind like shower bars and taller toilets, etc.

But mostly it’s just because they don’t like screaming children playing in the neighbourhood.

Where I live they also have housing exclusive to 55+ so it’s much cheaper since there’s a smaller market for them.

Ruins the housing economy and then holds some that’s only available for themselves for cheap while they downsize for a massive nestegg.

If they don’t want it to compete with the fresh release too soon just get them working on a different genre that won’t overlap. Instead of battlefield 7 get them working on something like Spore 3 or whatever.

There’s a guy on Instagram that goes around picking up trash in the streets of London(?) and some of the comments he receives from the general public is very disheartening. Lots of friendly people buying him drinks and food and thanking him for doing it but equally just as many saying things like don’t bother, it will be trash again in a week, not worth the effort, etc.

Stores are often easily able to put a limit per transaction. I don’t think a scalper is going to go through the till 500 times to clear the store of its 1000 jugs of milk limited to 2 per person.
